After two and one-half years into law school, my vision has noticeably declined. I believe this will have an adverse effect upon my participation in class. Not because I like to participate actively during lecture, but rather I prefer to sit all the way in the back of the classroom and surf the internet. But before this gradual decline I could at least on occasion glance up at the chalkboard and jot down some notes.

I've always thought that I'd look good wearing glasses. Whenever I've tried on a friend's pair in front of an ex, their reactions have been positive. Too positive, in fact. A couple have had that raised eyebrow look like they wanted to jump my bones right then and there. I guess it made me look more sophisticated? Hah, more likely it made me 'look' intelligent because I do have that low-brow thing goin' on sometimes, which is fine with me.

But the idea of having to wear glasses all the time doesn't sound too appealing. And it seems like a burden for those who have 'em because they're always falling off or getting broken while playing basketball. I guess contacts work fine for most, but I can't see myself rockin' those. I can't even use eye drops in a conventional manner. I have to squeeze a shitload into my palm and open my eyes inside the little puddle like I'm opening them underwater while swiwmming. I am terrified of the thought of putting something into my eye.

Those of you who wear corrective lenses - Good or bad? Does it make guys look "smarter" or more sophisticated? Or does it make you self-conscious that you might look "geeky"? Thoughts?
