I think the reality is: New York is so hyped-up that before you move here, you really believe it will be the 'anything and everything'. But when you get here, you realize it's really just a factory with a whole bunch of arrogant people, working their asses off. You hear so much 'New York' this, 'New York' that, your expectations are inevitably high. It's like finding out the Wizard of OZ is just a 4 ft. midget. This place was supposed to have more substance.
