merry christmas!

mood: i'm currently getting annoyed by bill telling me i can use his computer, but then looking over my shoulder and acting like a goddamn soup nazi.

Anyways... i made it to san diego! The flight on jetblue was for shite, but i suppose i should be grateful i got here in one piece. I think the cheaper the airline you ride, the more uncivilized your fellow travelers can be. Case in point: there's this crazy looking man (imagine Nick Nolte's infamous mugg-shot when he was arrested for a DUI) sitting across the aisle and down one row from me, who whips out a plastic bag full of whole peanuts and goes to work on them like he's sitting at a yankees game. Holmes starts dropping shells all over the floor and the aisle, leaving the a 4-aisle zone that reeked of peanuts. Next, he decides to remove his shoes AND his two layers of smelly socks and i shit you not, takes a big whiff of one of his sweaty socks before shoving them down his pockets. He plops his feet up on the armrest in front of him, then proceeds to start humming weird tunes. All This is before we even take off from jfk. For the next 6 hours, random noises start coming out of this guy's mouth. I was a bit on edge about the whole ordeal, especially since they just raised the threat of possible terrorist attacks in NY from Code "Orange" to "Orange +", whatever that means.

And just like that i was back in sweet home san diego. It was a nice surprise to see all my close friends waiting for me at the airport. I immediately noticed some major changes, including "karl's" new suv - the Honda Element - and travis' fashion sense changing from stuffy to "alternative". I love that word - "alternative". It's such a poor substitute for coming up with something precise to describe a particular thing, yet oh-so-convenient an exercise in pigeon-holing. The first meal of the night? Mexican food, of course. A bean & cheese burrito and 3 rolled tacos with guacamole. I love this city.

Merry Christmas.
